Autumn in the country.

Michie Tavern

Michie Tavern is an 18th century tavern that is still serving mid-day faire. It's a museum now, and a restaurant with some of the best fried chicken you'll find anywhere! It sits on a mountainside outside Charlottesville.

Can't get into the garage?

There were a lot of other outbuildings around this old garage. I guess one of them could have been an old farmhouse, but it mostly looked like random outbuildings, including a homemade outhouse. Made me wonder who built them all and where they went. I guess I could have asked the guy in the pickup who found me trolling down his backroad, but maybe he was just trespassing like me.

Palmers Point Grocery

Or all that's left. There are a lot of lakeside businesses that have faded away down the backroads of Southside Virginia and north central North Carolina.

Clays Mill Store

I found this autumn shot of Clays Mill Store while perusing thru a stack of photos in a box. Autumn is my favorite season.

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

This is a picture I took several years ago. I didn't do anything to it in Photoshop, I swear. Originally, I didn't think much of this picture because it was blurry. But now, when I look at it, I think it looks like a painting! How cool is that?

Victorian in the snow.

I'm sure this is our last snowfall of the year, and our first major one in several.
